WHAT IS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY?

Occupational therapists are professionals in assisting people in performing the tasks they need and wish to undertake on a daily basis. Occupational therapy interventions require occupations and activities to be effective. Occupational therapy intervention can also improve performance and participation invocations and activities.

  • A one-on-one assessment in which the client/family and occupational therapist work together to establish the person's goals

  • A tailored intervention to increase the person's capacity to carry out everyday tasks and achieve their objectives, and

  • A review of the intervention plan's outcomes to ensure that the goals are being accomplished and/or to make modifications to the intervention plan
